since my last newspost ~2 weeks ago i managed to get enough done to warrant a new one, so now i'll ramble on about that stuff IN CHRONOLOCIGAL ORDER:

i got to edit the BEST @PukeBomb toon!!!! they said to make it look like death battle, and having never heard of it i said ok and did it. still no idea what it is. even got to slap together a fake mugen thing for a shot which was lots of fun! give it a watch here:

following last year's NGTV Christmas Marathon, i decided to do another NGTV collab (2 actually, but more on that later) since it was a lot of fun & i wanted to make up for some oversights i made with the original. should be better this time around! either way, today's (almost) the first day of summer & what better way to kick off the season than watching a VHSRip of the 2006 NGTV SUMMER BASH

huge thanks to everyone who participated, very happy you all came on board! it's been a wild ride, especially near the end, but we made it! hope to see you in the next one!

gotta give a few specific shoutouts though:

@TeffyD, who you know as the god of music (music god just doesn't sound as cool), has taken the time and resources to transfer the collab onto a real VHS tape & then digitize it back for the upload! doing this, he bumped the collab to the next level - giving it an authentic feel! also this means there's now a VHS tape with the NGTV Summer Bash somewhere out there... in the wild..... maybe it even contains some extras, you know, lost media......?

@dsptdnb, who's been helping me with sound mixing on pretty much all my solo projects for a while now (not that i do many of those) has stepped up and did audio magic on the collab to make it flow normally. on top of that, he's responsible for the "VHSification" of the audio, as there were issues getting the audio off the VHS tape (the video was fine)

there are plans for one last NGTV - a Christmas one again - with some huge surprises on the way. without spoiling too much, it's already being worked on, and by the time the collab opens for applications, we should already have ~20 minutes done!

more cool stuff on the way very soon, but for now i leave you with this image

first up

Citizen Pico: Pico's School IV

as I was working on the Professional Edition update for Windowz XP 2012 I realized that the SECRET GAME I was making for it is probably how Pico's School worked, which gave me an idea. why not remake pico's school and put it inside Windowz XP 2012? obviously, this didn't happen, as I underestimated the amount of work needed to be done & had to focus on other aspects of the update - scrapping the project

then, as pico day was nearing, I figured I give the pico project another go, this time a bit different:

instead of remaking the original, now the plan was to make a genuine-feeling sequel.

even though I scrapped MOST of my outline for the game, as well as having to redraw all the exteriors to match Tom's Pico 2 style, I managed to pull it off in time (albeit a few hours late)

here's some funsies about it before I move on:

initially evil versions of darnell & nene were to appear too

dr. schmuck was a last minute change/addition to the game

MOST of the assets were done by me from scratch, including all the backgrounds

ALL code is by me, nothing was taken from the original game

felt like I should address those, as there have been a few people asking me if its a mod for the original. it is not, feel free to decompile the swf and look around to see for yourself!

I got to help with some animation on it, not much - but I am glad I got to be a part of this project.

got a part in that too, which is awesome since as far as mainstream animation goes - el dorado is my favorite film!

staying on topic of collabs,

NGTV Summer Bash is coming soon too! deadline's a bit more than a week away, with the planned release date being June 20th! better get ready!

it'll be smaller than the Christmas Marathon but there's a very good reason for that:

already hard at work at this year's Christmas NGTV - my one and only goal with that is to pull of the BIGGEST COLLAB newgrounds has ever seen! there'll be some huge surprises!

(also I did a bad job hosting the summer one lol)

and before I fuck off into the sunset,

got a chance to work with PukeBomb on a toon (or more????!??!!!!???) which is currently stuck in limbo, but should be releasing this weekend - I think - I have no idea. either way, been a blast working with them - they're funny guys - hope I'll get a chance to do so again in the future

there are more upcoming projects, I've been very busy, but I'll save those for some other time - the post is already dragging on too long. one last thing, I got a kofi now, which means you should give me money. it's definitely a good idea, don't even think about it, just do it!!!!!!
